Struggling with Math: Anyone Else?

I'm not good with simple math in my head so no shame. My brother told me: what was 6 + 7 and told me I shouldn't have to think it should be just there in your head. I can't remember numbers as quick as most and I find myself growing slowly to improve.

I love to read, but probably have the math skills of a 5th grader so yeah I genuinely suck at math!

I've had trouble in math since I was 10. I always thought I make up for it by being good at things like English and history.
