Have you tried a lotus mat- for some it works. I use peppermint oil on my head and that gives me some relief for 10-15 mins. I also use ice packs. My current migraine medication isn’t working. I’m still trying to find one that works. Have you tried magnesium infusion or Botox? I got some relief from both.

I take flexoril when I start getting that way, it helps me a lot since I am unable to tolerate the migraine meds.

I got sunglasses with red tinted lenses from Zenni and those help loads when I get a migraine. They're really not that expensive, especially if the lenses are non-Rx! And of course I try all the usual tricks, dark room, earplugs, avoiding strong smells, etc. My doctor also prescribed a migraine abortive pill for me that I take when I feel an attack coming on, and as long as I take that within 30 mins of an attack starting, they work great! For the tension/stress part, I try to lay down and make sure my neck and head are comfortable, which usually means lots of pillows. There's not a lot to be done for the tension headaches aside from relaxing, I've found!
