Managing Sickle Cell with Epsom Salt and Cannabis

Hello . I’m 68 year old with Sickle Cell SC genotype. Believe it or not I was 62 years old when diagnosed when I had my first crises visiting Vegas. Imagine my shock. Anyway, currently not on any SC drugs. I manage with Epsom Salt bath, Essential Oil and Tylenol as needed. I think I need more so since Fl Med Marj is legal so going to look into it .. Anyone has any experience with Cannabis. Not open to smoking but maybe oils or topicals..

Hi! I can only imagine how shocked you were. I’m not currently on any medications but I do take pain meds when needed, which isn’t that often. I’ve changed my diet which helped a lot and water will be your best friend 😊 btw I am currently 30 and was diagnosed at birth

I was diagnosed at 17 but struggled all through childhood with what I now know were crisis. I am now 34. I used nothing but medication at 1st and honestly I was worse off, when I started to lower my dosages of narcotics and use more natural remedies, change my diet, as well as using gummies or oil, I was hospitalized less and I feel better overall.
