Managing Seizures with FND: Tips and Advice

Some people manage their seizures related to FND by taking medications such as hydroxozine, meclazine and baclofen. They also try to avoid triggers, for example, not being on a device too much before going out if the light bothers them. Keeping track of when seizures happen and what they were doing at the time can be helpful in managing triggers. Some have found that a weighted blanket during a seizure helps and heat applied directly to a locked limb in the form of a heat pack or hot water bottle helps the limb to unlock sooner. Others have found that ensuring they get a good amount of sleep and keeping their temperature regulated helps with their seizures.
