im 21 and i’ve had chronic pain my whole life. as an adult for the first time i have a full time 9-5 job. i’ve figured out the best thing for me to do is wake up at least 3 hours before i go to work so i can take my meds, drink water take a bath if my stomach is acting up and make myself eat something if i can. i do small stuff like making myself coffee and watching my favorite youtubers that make me laugh. if i have time i like to try to use an app called finch to help with my self care and mental health. i also suggest taking magnesium as it helps boost serotonin production and ease sore muscle pain. glucosamine is a good one for joint pain.

When I get flare ups, I'm usually pretty desperate to find anything that will take my mind off it even by the slightest, which includes drinking ice cold water and maybe taking a short term painkiller like ibuprofen.
