Need advice for managing pain and migraines caused by birth control pill

I need advice. I’m back on birth control pill to manage my pain until my surgery to see if I have endometriosis, but now the birth control pill is causing really bad migraines. And daily headaches. Any idea on what I should do? Cause I really need the pill to help with the pelvic pain

Yes I did just start birth control pill back in September. So maybe I haven’t given it time to adjust

I think you have options but they will rock the boat. You should def talk to your doc about switching bc if the side effects are godawful (or if you just started then give it a hot second to adjust) and also see if your doc will prescribe pain help or start taking thc. Ovira/Livia tens device has helped me but only with cramps.

I'd ask about pain management instead of hormones then

The pelvic pain is worse. And my surgery is in beginning of February now. I need something to use in the meantime

Honestly what pain is worse migraines or pelvic pain? If the surgery is December I would just not do the pills and talk about a different one for after surgery

I am currently not on birth control pills but in the past I switched a couple of different kinds of pills because of their side effects (bleeding etc.) Maybe you can also try to switch to another one that wont give you so many headaches? And good luck on your surgery wishing you'll feel much better soon after🙏

I'm sorry you are having these migraines and headaches unfortunately whenever I have a migraine the only thing that helps me is taking a nap, and sometimes smoking marijuana. How far away is your surgery?
