Managing Mood Swings and Irritability after Endometriosis Surgery

Just a question for those diagnosed with endometriosis. I had surgery to diagnose and remove Endo back in February, I am doing really well physically and have healed well. My cycle has gone back to normal and is so much more manageable. That said, I am having a huge problem with mood swings and irritability. I have never had this before to this extent. My doctor put me on a strong birth control to help with endometriosis so I'm sure that is it or is at least some of it. Does anyone have any tips on how to manage/ has anyone experienced this.

I dealt with the same thing after surgery when on birth control. I had a lot of trouble at first and would cry at random times. It did go away for me after a couple of months of my body adjusting to the medication, but I ended up going off of it because of other side effects.

I really appreciate you sharing. I have the same issue, I will get irritated or sad out of nowhere. Hopefully it will adjust soon

If it's unbearable or disruptive to daily life then it's best to ask for a different birth control if it hasn't stopped after a few weeks

it can be at times yeah. Unfortunately my doctor isn't willing to switch me to something else Since this one helps endometriosis the best.
