Monitoring sleep and sticking to a routine. As much as it sucks trying to sleep while mania, any form of sleep deprivation will make it worse. No alcohol or caffeine (second is really depending on the person) as they trigger mania. Having a healthy workout routine (if able to workout) can help burn out extra energy before bed or in a really tough mental rut.
