Managing Lymphedema without Medication

Currently I’m not on any medication for lymphedema only my blood pressure medication and water pills I’ve always taken and my blood pressure is really good & I use to get wrapped but my compression stockings & my water pills in my blood pressure medicine exercise, walking & dancing have been working good for me, haven’t slept in my bed in almost a year I sleep in my lift chair but my planning on getting me a craftmatic bed to see if that will help me

Since I started on the keto diet in 2016 I've lost 148 lbs and am off every medication, except thyroid, and water pills don't work for lymphedema. I rarely swell anymore since I've removed all foods that cause swelling. It's a hard diet, but worth having my life back.

I did alot better getting wrapped, but I can't wrap myself. If i wrap myself it messes with my stomach thats swollen and its always pissed off...im constantly in bathroom as it is. I have blisters allover my lower legs badly! There's one lymphedema clinic around here. Money first. So I'm kinda stuck...

I had blisters too. Went to wound care for several months. Finally got healed up. Started wearing Velcro wraps for compression. Insurance paid for first pair because I had wounds that wouldn’t heal. Just ordered compression stockings with 40-50 mmg of pressure , custom made for me. ( need help to put on). Hope they help. There is no lymphedema clinic or therapist where I live. I was diagnosed t the vein and vascular clinic,

So what are you supposed to take if not water pills?

water pills do not help lymphedema. Not really anything you can take for swelling except watch salt intake, compression. Also special lymphedema massage , exercise. ❤️

My dermatologist is the one that diagnosed me with lymphedema. She said she doesn't like to use water pills for my condition. How long have you been taking waterfalls? I have suffered with this since early 90s and am now just been under care for a couple months. They are ordering a compression machine for my home health care. I see a therapist one time a week. I was also wearing compression socks. I have the toe less ones and that caused my toes to blow up and break out in blisters.
