Yes, low impact exercises are a great way to start.

First, do you know what is causing the pain? If not talk to your doctor about having x-rays done & maybe mri. Ask your doctor to refer you to physical therapy if nothing major is wrong. Physical therapists can work with you & create a plan specifically for you

Definitely avoid sit ups, very intense on your lower back. And if you're not very good at pull ups, I would advise against those as well, since people will use all kinds of muscles to try and pull themselves up just to get one more pull up. Focus on low-impact exercises, like stretching, or working out only one part of your body (arms, legs, abs)etc. Swimming is also a great way to workout and is very low impact while also being a great workout. 😊

Also, definitely go yo your doctor and ask about getting that checked out 💛
