How have you been able to manage IC over time.

Every other week I have to go in for another bladder instillation. They put a chemical cocktail into me via catheter. I have to avoid certain foods. Everything else we've tried (diagnosed over a decade ago) hasn't changed my symptoms. Not elmiron, or vaginal Valium, or pyridium, etc. Too many to list.

I don’t take any medication, I used to, but I just sort of stay away from the things that causes flare ups. For me that includes caffeine, anything with citric acid, and some spicy foods. I drink tons of water and I have also done bladder training and only get up 1-2 times a night to use to restroom

Diet, figure out the foods that trigger and avoid them or only eat in moderation

Diet, pelvic floor PT, and proper medications (anti-histamines & hormones for me personally)
