      If your biggest issue is before sleep for anxiety, maybe something like Atarax/vistaril can help. It's a antihistamine but can help with anxiety before bed. And for chronic pain, it depends on what's causing it. For fibromyalgia I always recommend Lyrica, it was a life saver. Another medicine I wish I could get back on is Tylenol #3

      I used to drink my life away to deal with it, but that only made it and the problems causing it worse. Now, I take xanax on occasion, I suffer from severe emphysema, and being sob is unnerving at times. Excercises and being with a woman is my relief and release. Try it.

        @Diff I am glad you have found a better way out side drinking, I have an alcohol aversion and my ex was also a big comfort but šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø we are divorcing so I would be doing that

          @Eboyd That is sad to hear. My wife and I don't even sleep together let alone anything else. She also wants a divorace. I have a few younger female friends that relive my stress on occasion.
