Hey Ariana, I would tell your supervisor/lead about your condition. You dont have to go into details, but IBS is considered a disibility in many work places now. Provide documentation along with what sort of accommodations you may need. There's only two things that have worked for me regarding work and ibs. Bringing something that triggers your ibs like crazy, but gets the movement going asap. Or doing your best to keep yourself regulated as to prevent any at-work flare ups. My go-to for a quick flare-up/movement is Rockstar Energy Drink (fruit punch). Once I down half a can, I am using the restroom in the next 15-30 mins. For some reason, ibs episodes caused by RED don't give me any pain, but it flushes my system out real quick. For longer terms, I use miralax every 1-3 days with lots of water. Before miralax, I used Papaya Digestive Support made by Country Life. 3-4 wafers after every meal and they taste like candy. Hope this helps!
