Any tips on managing chronic illness and work? 🙏 I have often been reduced to working part-time to meet my medical appointments. I am currently looking for a new job, and I am not sure how to make it work. For specifics, I am 24 female in AUSTRALIA, and my recent work experience is within the construction industry, which isn't the most progressive industry.

Finding a career or company that fits your needs. It is a bit like dating when you’re chronic but finding a place that works with your body and your brain and gives you the type of work you need is, in my opinion, the most important and valuable thing.

@Soskae For example my ADHD, seizures and weakness in my legs are the key things I had to look for in a job. I was able to find a job teaching that allowed me to work at my own pace, sit down or stand essentially when ever I need and because it’s a special needs school everyone is very comfortable with seizures so if I have one they know what kind of help is required. Also with everything else I can make changes to my schedule if needed so I can have specific days of the week off for doctor’s appointments because I have to go to so many or not work after a certain time so that my body doesn’t suffer.
