Keeping to myself . I have a very long fuse yet if I blow no one is safe around me. I'm currently taking a dpt class just up to my third week. Thinking seriously about admitting myself in a facility out of state to get my balance back. Does anyone who doesn't really have a support system have any thoughts on this? Would appreciate any feedback . Haven't been inpatient in2 years

It’s incredibly hard for me but I realized it does more harm than good. So I just stay silent and try to distract myself with things like tiktok and art stuff like that. Eventually I forget what I was even having an episode about in the first place.

I try to not talk much at all until I’m calm again so I don’t say anything hurtful or that I will regret after because you can’t take it back once it’s said

For me the first thing I do is try to exit the situation and get to a place where I can be as emotional as I need without anyone being able to hear or see me. Obviously this isn't always an option and when it isn't I just focus really really hard on my morals and try to stay quiet.

something i learned is that if you say less, the better the outcome. however what i'm struggling with is currently understanding how to filter my rage. i can be quiet and keep from hurting someone but in the process i am unsure how to stop the anger from eating me. but just know that if you keep your words short, it is better than hurting people. yes, saying one word responses is lackluster but significantly better than being distasteful.
