I was just diagnosed officially with AS but been dealing with it for over 10 years and had psoriatic arthritis since I was a kid. I had calcium deposits on my 2 front teeth when they came in and then when I was about 20 the 2 front teeth started to show signs of degradation and early stages periodontal disease. My dentist put in veneers on them to prevent worsening. What does really help is coconut oil pulling- soothing and natural antibacterial. I switched to more natural toothpaste and mouthwash that doesn’t strip my mouth of good bacteria. My dentist was amazed at how well it worked after I started doing coconut oil pulling. For TMJ I use a Gua Sha stone to massage around my jaw and surrounding muscles and it really helps bring down pain, popping, and inflammation.

I manage it with chiropractor appointments and anti inflammatory medicine. It does contribute to my TMJD problems.
