Nothing matters. Move your body, it’s telling you that it’s in the wrong spot. Don’t run away, be gentle and loving. Stretch. Breathe. Relax. Recalibrate. Come back into whatever you were doing when you are ready. There are no deadlines.

I wish I had a direct answer for this but I also have health/medical anxiety as well as general so I’ve been unable to go to the doctor, but most days I feel like shit, so there’s definitely something going on, I just don’t know what for sure. So I just try to eat as healthy as I can, and move how I can without triggering my anxiety. What about you?

Whenever I get panic attacks and my heart starts racing I either do these 2 things. The first thing I do is hug a friend or a family member. The point of this is to mimic their breathing pattern when your heart is racing. Ask them to take deep breaths so you can do so. The second option to try if no one is around is a deep breathing technique. Try in for 4 and out for 6. Breathe in for 4 seconds and exhale for 6. Make sure when you inhale you fill your belly with air. Try not to suck in your stomach. I hope this helps.

this is hard for me because I have trauma associated with my breathing, so it’s all over coupled. I am trying to find grounding techniques that work for me now. So far moving my body helps, changing my scenery, and naming things in my surroundings and describing them. What can I see, smell, touch/feel, hear.. and just repeating that until I’m calm. And if nothing works, I try to sleep. And if that doesn’t work, that’s when I’ve had to take a medication.
