Managing Anxiety Attacks: A Simple Trick

A little trick I’ve learned over the last decade I’ve been dealing with crippling anxiety is get COLD. If you’re having an anxiety attack and feel nauseous/like you’re gonna pass out, (or just overheated like crazy) get your body cold. It helps me a lil bit. I had an anxiety attack in the car this morning on the way to work and I turned my AC on full blast and took deep breathes. Or using a wet washcloth works, or really anyway to get cold. Like I work in a restaurant and going into the walk in helps too. I hope this finds someone that needs the tip! Stay strong!

Yes! I notice that this totally helps me. Especially breathing in cooler air, sometimes the air just feels too thick to breathe when it's warm. I think it has to do with a shock to the system, almost a method of grounding, whereas heat is like blurring.
