Managing Anxiety and Panic Attacks

How do you manage your anxiety and panic attacks? I started having these 2 weeks ago, and it is bad enough that I can't be in my house alone, the amount of fear that builds for no reason is unbearable 😪 It comes out of nowhere, for seemingly no reason!

Anything from a cold shower, to sticking your face in a bowl of ice water can put your mind into enough shock to focus on the coldness instead of the panic. Another distraction from your panic attack, you can try counting backwards, starting at one hundred, by sevens. (Or any odd number that will make you have to stop and think about it) These are all tips I got the other day at my first therapy appointment, and it's helped some. 😊

During a panic attack splash your face with ice cold water several times and hold ice cubes in your hands. Rub the ice on forehead and back of neck. It can help a little to calm a panic attack down.
