Lyrica Effectiveness for Diabetic Neuropathy and Fibromyalgia

How long did it take for Lyrica to take full effect for you? Did you have to increase your dosage? (Diabetic neuropathy and fibromyalgia here! It's not helping me at all....😞)

I started on a low dose of Lyrica but now I’m maxed out at 200mg 3X’s a day.

I just started it this month and take 50mg 2 times daily, about to start three times daily tomorrow. My doctor wants to keep me at a low dosage since we're still learning but will continue if needed. I would recommend calling or emailing your doctor and explain what you're feeling/not feeling.

I've been on Lyrica for 3 years and I haven't needed to change dosage consistently. But when I have a flare I do increase it then.

So Lyrica (Pregabalin) is often an alternative for another drug in the same family (Gabapentin). To my understanding, if one doesn’t work for someone, they’re often prescribed the other. So ask your doctor about “Gabapentin”.
