How often do you need to use it? How does lymphedema impact your daily living?

I received a device and thankfully covered by my crappy insurance from a company called Tactile Medical and how it helps me is it's almost like a space suit, so to speak, & it goes on whichever part of your body that you're having Lymphedema. For me, it's around my waist, down through both my lower extremities. And it's like a very nice gentle massage.

Oh gosh o am sorry. I have it in my right leg but haven’t been infected. I can absolutely see why you are pursuing surgery. Sorry you have to deal with this!

The swelling at the ankles in top of foot become one piece it actually looks like one super huge ball and if I don’t keep the compression on it the skin breaks open the weeping gets worse I get staff infection and this cycle just continues to repeat. I’m trying to find a decent vascular surgeon that does it as a specialty as soon as this remaining infection goes away

Yes because my ankles and legs are swollen so bad it broke the skin open with Addison disease also it makes it very difficult for me to heal I have to keep compression wraps on 24 seven very rarely do I take them off for a day because then I get severe swelling at the Ankles

I’m meeting with a vascular surgeon on Tuesday. I can’t live like this and it’s only been two months for me. You’re all so brave for dealing with this for so long. I need a permanent solution.

Yes it works until I put my legs down and they begin to swell again. They gave me compression socks and these Velcro things to wear to keep it down. Other than that they didn’t give me any more options

sounds about like my doctor who said I needed to find a desk job. I live in a small town. So not many of those. So I asked him if he was hiring 😆 sorry stupid is as stupid does. I thought that was a crap answer to my problems as well. Since that's all he had to say about me being able to work In a convenience/ gas station.

I don’t have a compression machine but I have reduction kits and wraps, also making sure you move around a lot and drinking lots of water is a big help.

It helps my swelling when I’m in it - but as soon as I get back on my feet it goes right back up. Manual drainage works some but again - as soon as I get on my feet …

I have the compression boots too… not sure I see any difference to be honest. It feels good when I use it. But swelling doesn’t go away

That sounds awful? I’m so sorry you’re struggling with this disease. Does the machine work? How long does it keep the swelling away? Does your doctor give you other options?

I’m med ridden. I have a machine that I have to zip my legs up in and it inflates and takes the swelling out
