What symptoms do you experience with Lupus?

What symptoms do your experience? I was recently referred to a rheumatologist and am trying to decipher what may be going on with me, and I believe I may have lupus. I have had several episodes per year for the last several years with seemingly random, unexplained symptoms. They sometimes seem to be triggered by stress but other times it seems completely random. Sometimes I’ll develop pain in EVERY joint that gets worse with movement, accompanied by a feeling of weakness in the joints and pain sensitivity in my joints (ex. Knocking on a door with a standard intensity and being meet with sharp, shooting pain in the knuckles). Other times I’ll have trouble breathing or heart palpitations for a few weeks. These episodes are often accompanied by what I believe is a butterfly/malar rash (though I’m not sure). Since lupus can affect many body symptoms and cause many different symptoms what symptoms do you experience? Additionally do you have any comorbidities (conditions that may be related to or worsen your lupus) accompanied with your lupus?

Debilitating fatigue, joint and muscle pain everywhere, pericarditis episodes that last days and are pretty severe, digestive issues, hot flushes, mild fevers, hair loss, hives randomly on my body, dry eyes, weight gain, cramps in legs and shoulders

The descriptions you gave are the kinds of flare ups I experienced myself over the last couple years. Definitely having an anxiety disorder means I have to be incredibly mindful of I spiral into stressful situations and then trigger flare ups. I also get weird purple rashes on my upper arms and t zone of my face

My lupus is pretty well managed these days but when it does flare, I usually experience joint pain and extreme fatigue. Additionally, I have eczema, reynaud's, and mixed connective tissue disease, and there's definitely a connection between hormonal changes, my lupus flares, and when my veins start to constrict or when scaley eczema patches start popping up all over. If you think you're having lupus symptoms, especially if you think you have the butterfly rash, I'd advocate for a full panel of bloodwork. I know some rheumatologists can be reluctant to do them, but it's better to do an unnecessary lab then to live with misdiagnosis and poor treatment
