Dealing with a Lupus Flare-Up: My Recent Experience

Last fall I was told my Lupus was in remission. Recently I started having joint pain, my ankles, knees, elbows, wrists and fingers were hurting bad. My knees felt swollen but weren’t visibly swollen and felt warm. My hips were hurting too, that’s a new pain for me. I didn’t feel right, felt like I was getting sick but I knew it wasn’t that. I went to see my rehum and got blood work done, the rehum has not reviewed the labs yet but I got the results and Lupus is active again. It was a short remission period.

Some of your symptoms sound familiar to me and I’m in search of a diagnosis. By any chance do you have sharp or what feels electric pain neck or back pain with same issues almost as if it’s your nerves?

See if you can get a referral to a neurologist, if you haven't already. It definitely sounds like a neurological issue.

I'm sorry your remission was short. That sucks. 🫂
