Low Iron and Vegetarianism: Any Advice?

I am fairly healthy however I have low iron. I was a vegetarian for two years which triggered it I believe? I'm not a health expert! Does anyone also have type O- blood by chance as well?

I don't have that blood type, but maybe eating greens could help. I've been told things like spinach are great. If you want to go back to eating meat, eating red meats can help. Also dried fruit and cashews help too. Not sure if you need medication or not, but there is over the counter iron supplements. Keep in mind it can make you constipated, so keep a stool softener on hand.
