How to lose weight when I have RA and it hurts to move. I get so down that I eat more.

      @AnnieJo I really don't think anyone understands until they have it. It is so hard to deal with. Mentally and physically. Sometimes I feel like I am just a wimp and I am making it out to be worse than it actually is. I had so many hopes and dreams that RA has stolen from me. I see and hear so many people still living and enjoying life and I can't even enjoy my grandbabies. Anyway enough of my whining. I still have hope that there is a med out there to give my life back we just need to find it.

      I am in the same situation. Every month when I went to get my infusion I would gain another 5 pounds. I complained to my doctor and asked why. He said " I'm sorry it's because of my sedentary life style and the medication. Sooooo I go from having RA to all these issues caused by treatment. Exasterbating all of the issues RA causes. How can I fix it ! Eating an entirely plant based diet and exercise. Can I do either one of those? No I can't.

        @Shibaby_4 I know how you feel. My own sister told me that I gained. too much weight. However, RA is invisible and no one knows the pain and the burning pain that we go through. The meds do not take it away it just is not that intense.

      Since 1/1/21 I have lost 42 pounds. I do not exercise because of a severe hernia.. hernia surgery scheduled for 5 16 22
