Losing My Best Friend: Coping with the Sudden Loss of My Cat

I have to put my cat down he suddenly developed severe health problems. He’s only 2 years old I’ve had him since he was a month old ( found him on the street next to his dead mom and kittens) he was a wobbly cat as well which mean he couldn’t walk good or straight but I loved him… I’m not sure what I’m going to do or how I’m gonna cope with this. He’s my best friend and the one that’s been holding me together.. without him I’m gonna fall apart.. what do I do to relive this sadness and not want to kill your self from pain. I know some people say it’s the easy coward way out but does anyone have advice ?

Yes, losses are hard.. I've had my cat since she was 6-8 weeks of age, she's going on 5 years old now. I don't know what I'd do without her.. but I've been around loss, both animals and humans.. its not easy.. but you just gotta let go and take the positive way out of it. I know it sounds dumb, and harsh to shove the pain to the side. But stop looking after why he had to go, look at how he must be thriving without the pain.. knowing he is happier.. look at how he has been there for you.. how he kept you whole when no one else was around.. do you want to give that up? No! Of course not! So just keep going, and thank him, everyday for all the love, security, and care he has given you for these few years.. and know you'll be okay in the end..with his sunshine shining on you as he is so proud of you.. looking at you go!! Living your life the way he helped you to achieve.. yes it is without him, but he will always be in your heart.. always.
