Losing My Best Friend: A Tribute

@leen she's been dead about 5 yrs now. We honestly hadn't spoken in a few years before then, and before that it was sporadic conversations and visitations. We disagreed a lot in adulthood, but she was still my bestie.... About 2 wks before she passed, I had a dream she'd come to talk to me. We didn't get the chance because I was busy with something else, but we were able to say hi and hug. Internally, it was like we just let bygones be bygones, but I didn't have the chance to talk to her, so she stood looking at me a few seconds, then walked away. That was in the dream. Two weeks later, I'd gotten a call she'd died. I met her when we were around 12, but we didn't become friends til we were about 14..... We had our ups and downs, but I really miss her. Never had a friend like her before, never had one since. 😞
