Has anyone ever gotten a loop recorder implanted? I'm getting some implanted soon to rule out SVT and monitor my heart, but super nervous about having something inside my skin. I'm having a lot of anxiety. I'm worried if it'll get infected, bleeding, etc or what if it falls out of place? idek if that's possible but help a girl out

Yes I had mine in place for 5 years. I forgot about it for most of the time. I'm just annoyed at the scars from putting it in and taking it out. I had minimal bleeding both time and didn't get an infection.

One of the replies mentions, "I had a Insertable cardiac monitor implanted on February 15, 2022. They have actually recorded my heart stop beating for 6 seconds when I was asleep. This has happened twice." Another reply states, "I eventually had to just say I can’t no more. I had to get a implanted loop recorder to help catch my issues." However, there is no specific information about the process or potential complications such as infection, bleeding, or displacement.
