I personally havenā€™t had the best experience with medication. I have always been sensitive to any kind of medication so I wasnā€™t surprised. I know there are a TON more to try but itā€™s scary to have to ā€œtestā€ them out. I did get the Genesight testing done to see what medicines would work best for me.

I have anxiety and I'm bipolar. I'd say talking to people really helps mellow me down. I take gabapentin for my anxiety & i take lamictal & zyprexa for my bipolar. What about you?

Some people have found medication to be a huge life saver, while others prefer not to use it due to side effects. Coping strategies vary from person to person, but some include physically getting emotions out through activities like working out or martial arts, taking supplements, setting personal boundaries and routines, and using caffeine and nicotine. Other techniques include natural supplements, herbs, spices, vitamins, grounding techniques, yoga, meditation, journaling, singing bowls, hz frequency music in its natural form, and even cannabis. Some people also find distraction helpful, such as watching TV shows and movies, playing games on their phone, journaling their feelings, baking, or cuddling with a pet. It's important to find what works best for you personally.
