Long-term Miralax Use and Anxiety

Longtime Miralax user - this really helps keep my flare ups with hemorrhoids and constipation under control (along with having a bidet - a life changing addition!) but I also have that anxiety in the back of my mind about the side effects of using Miralax long term. I know osmotic laxatives are definitely better for you and less “addictive” . Curious if anyone here is in a similar situation and what their thoughts are. Thank you!

Hello! I have been using miralax for 2 months now, and at first I was afraid of getting addicted or losing the ability to have a bowel movement without it, but so far it has been the only thing that helped me. I hope it doesn’t end up being one of those things that is bad for you on the long term.
