I'm a 72 yr old widow with no support group near. I have been in the hospital 4 times this year and 8 times last. Depression is a constant neighbor. I have a Dr. I don't trust. with no transportation it's hard to change. not to mention a pain in the butt. Could use a little support and an occasional laugh. Hello, all

Hi Brede. I’m a 73 year old widow. I have been in the hospital several times over the past 4 years. My advantages are I do have transportation and a large group of friends. My husband had Alzheimer’s and passed in December 2020. I have belonged to two Alzheimer’s Support groups for years, I volunteer for a hospice group and go two times a week to visit at a nursing home. I have a group of friends that gets together every Monday night and we watch a movie. I belong to a women’s organization that focuses on education. I usually go to Wednesday night at church. And believe it or not I am really not an outgoing person at heart. But I have made myself because I knew that if I stayed home and concentrated on how I felt that I would be terribly miserable. If you have any way to be able to get out more I think you might be happier. Of course, I’m sure you’ve been worried about being exposed to Covid or the flu. I was very unhappy with my pulmonologist. I looked everywhere for a new one. I had just about given up when I found one a couple of towns away. There again is that transportation issue for you. Please feel free to message me.
