Important Information About Local Anesthetics and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

This is just something that needs to be spread more and that’s that people with ehlers danlos syndrome often do not react the lidocaine and other local numbing agents used in things like dentistry the same way other people do- SO if you ever have to get dental work done or stitches or anything that a local anesthetic would be used for let your doctor or dentist know. They’ll most likely have to use way more than the average amount. And for you, don’t be afraid to ask for more. You’re not weak your body literally resists it.

YES!! The dentist has been so traumatic for so many years and I finally found out why I’m in pain even after being numbed.
