I've been a T1 diabetic for 33+ years. I was diagnosed approximately 6 months after my maternal grandfather was diagnosed. It's not a smooth road I travel but with the love and support of family and friends I made it this far! I remember as a young child being told I'd be lucky to make it to my 40s. I'm now closer to 40 than 30 and still going strong. I'm not perfect with my diabetes but who is?!?!
