I've been without meds for quite a while and barely managed. I just recently got put on meds and I do think it's helping a lot. They just make me tired so I have to take them at night ๐Ÿ˜…

I canโ€™t take antipsychotics because I get tardive dykenesia so bad so I am only treating the bipolar symptoms. So far itโ€™s controlled the Schizo symptoms too. But if my bipolar goes unchecked I fall off the rocker again

Some people can manage without medication, some can't. I know of a man who lives well without, but I know also some people who would go off the rails quite quickly. I'm currently without medication, which I personally don't recommend. I've been okay for the short while I haven't been taking it. But it's a creeping suspicion of when something will happen, not if.
