Living with Lyme: My Story

Hey everyone, I believe I contracted Lyme in 2008, was not diagnosed until 2012. As you know,Lyme is an extreme bitch, but I am so fortunate. My symptoms are mostly manageable for the last few years. I pray that I can be an encouragement and help to someone that is suffering with this terrible disease. Boo54

I’m 42 . When I turned about 39, my hair started to thin out, my skin started to change , my monthly’s started to be really painful , they would put me out for about two weeks, but actually lasted 5 days . And it was regular. My skin itched all the time , everywhere. Naturally I blamed all this on age , hormones, I turned 40 and more of the same things .. weight gain , more skin changes … Thyroid you say ? Maybe .. Other symptoms were terrible gas , I was in the bathroom often.. About 6 months ago I started this bouts of nausea, and occasionally vomiting .. A headache they seemed to come and go . Occasionally migraine. About 2 months ago I realized that head ache never leaves .. it just fluctuates in pain levels ,and I push thought it . I wake up with it and I go to bed with it . I finally go to the doctors , because of the area I Live , and the symptoms I have , they did thyroid level blood test . And they also tested for Lyme … Lyme came back positive. Thyroid was good no issues. I do not even remember a tick or a rash that is typical of Lyme . I have had rashes though . I have cut and split wood for a heating season , and I have 3 dogs .. and live in the country . Doctors put me on doxycycline for 21 day .. most symptoms are gone , but not the headache .. I don’t no of what is next , or what is to come . Thanks for reading
