Living with Hashimoto's Disease: My Experience

hi. i’m eli! he/him. i was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 14 and then hashimotos at 15. but due to drugs/not taking my medication i never felt relief fro my symptoms until getting sober and taking my meds regularly. however i still get symptoms and it’s not as bad as it used to be but anyways. since taking my meds everyday when i’m supposed to i’ve had extreme weight gain (i’m also on a antipsychotic that causes it but) anyways. it just sucks bc i just keep gaining wait for the past year. im not someone who cares about weight but it makes me feel out of control. also my joint pain has been so bad recently that no matter what i do my joints hurt. and like idk if anyone else feels like this but having symptoms is so normal that i don’t really notice until i remember that what i experience is apart of hashimotos. thankfully i don’t experience fatigue anymore. but what i still experience is joint pain, inability to sleep, poor circulation, weight gain, and constipation. it’s so normal tho but i’m used to it

Hi! My names Monique 😊. I’m glad your getting some relief. I have those same issues. Its definitely hard sometimes. Some days I feel good! Other days I’m so low I can barely do anything. Just doing the bare minimum. I’m not on any medication. I’m just taking supplements right now. They haven’t fully kicked in yet so I’m struggling most days.
