Living with GERD due to Mold Exposure

I have GERD because of mold exposure. I was just wondering if anyone else has GERD for the same reason and whats it been like for you. For me one thing i notice often is that when i go to the doctor, every physical ailment i have, they try to pin it on GERD.

Yes. I think I have. I was extremely sensitive to mold and had allergy like symptoms. Then i started having digestive problems.....how are you now? Anything that helped to heal?

Is it possible to have GERD for a week only? From bad food? I’m only asking because I noticed being bloated, no appetite, early satiety and nausea only after eating meat that made me sick for a little bit last week… I wasn’t born with GERD so I’m unsure 😥

I tend to get GERD-like symptoms (throat gurgling, chest tightness) whenever my allergies are acting up. Haven’t been able to find any answers as to why. My PCP has attributed it to post-nasal drip. I’m not so sure

I was born with chronic GERD but I am sorry to say they do tend to pin anything and everything on GERD. Last year I had a peptic ulcer and they didnt realize what it was because they assumed it was GERD. I was also suffering for some horrible menstral difficulties and instead of treated for what was obviously period cramps outside of my cycle I was given a double scope to look for GERD damage. It's kind of a nightmare but I hope you find a doctor that'll listen to you 👍

Theres not a lot of information out there. At least there wasn't when i was 15 (it was in 2013). So i recommend using multiple search engines. Google, Bing, etc.
