Who here suffers from gallstones? How long have you had them? Have you found a way to live with them to avoid surgery?

I had gallstones in 2021 and didn’t know until I had horrible pains that I couldn’t handle and was rushed to the ER. I was in the hospital for about 2-3 days and had successful surgery. After the surgery you will def feel drained but you will feel much better within a week or two. Honestly if possible surgery is best bc before I was rushed to the ER I constantly had there weird stomach pains that were really unbearable and didn’t know why until then.

Mine were found a week ago. I'm on the wait lost to have my gall bladder removed in the next 6 months. I have been doing a lot of research and seems that a keto diet with intermittent fasting is recommended

I have them they were found last year thanks to the metabolic clinic I needed to attend. On a waiting list for consultation and possible surgery.

Hi, As far as I know I've had them around 5 years when they were noticed by Doc. Was sent for surgery consultation, told it wasn't needed then. Follow up, re-check soon. On vegetarian diet, probably keeps things in better shape.

Some users have experienced gallstones and tried various methods to manage them, such as low-fat diets, cutting out fried foods, and using home remedies. One user managed to stop their attacks for 3 years before relapsing due to high-fat meals. However, others have had to undergo surgery when diet and home remedies didn't help.
