Living with Fibromyalgia in Hot Weather

Hello from NW GA! How is everyone doing today? Hope y'all are having a nice time! Goodness it is HOT here! 90 degrees! I have fibromyalga as well and I flare up BIG TIME in these temperatures. I can no longer be outside on days like this...makes me sad I will miss certain things like going to amusement parks & outdoor concerts. Are you suffering from fibromyalga as well?

Hi from SC just across the Savannah River. I have lived in Ga and think about moving to N. Ga. My mother has Fibromyalgia and sometimes I think, by her symptoms that, I also may have it. I'm a 55 yr old male and you just don't hear men talking about it as much

No but it is certainly possible that you have it. I believe my brother has it too.

It's 61°F here a bit chilly but sure beats the 90s we had a bit ago. I personally suffer in cold and prefer to sweat 💦 I feel better after a good sweat...I hurt if I do nothing I hurt if I do things so I'm just gonna do what I need and hurt for a reason. I give up.

I also have Fibromyalgia. The cold bothers me more than the heat. I often wonder about others and how the weather causes their flare ups.

In January I had a head to toe flare due to the cold weather. It was traumatic for me as well. Never experienced anything like it. Essentially my fibro set up in my lower back.
