Living with Epilepsy and Insomnia: Seeking Advice

Hi I am from AZ. I am going to be 49 in July. I have had epilepsy for almost 20 years now. I had a car accident in December of 2002 and suffered a head injury from it. I lost my job and driving privileges. I was an intermediate level EMT and had focuses in trauma and orthopedics. I have had a VNS for almost 15 years now and take three meds. I have severe insomnia and most nights can't sleep. Do any of you have that tool?

I take 200 mgs three times a day of lamictal and have been told that it has the nasty side effect of insomnia. I have taken it for almost 20 years now. I have switched others throughout time but have always remained on it. Right now I take that and Briviact and zonisamide.
