Living with Environmental Allergies: A Daily Struggle

I am 29 and have had bad environmental allergies my whole life. I have found many holistic practices for managing them so I can still breathe and not have panic attacks when I get too congested, but the one thing that makes me wanna cry is how EXHAUSTING it is just to live with my daily symptoms After a week at work where I had to be outside a lot and allergies were bad, I’m totally spent and am probably gonna spend most of the weekend horizontal, even thought I went straight to my room after work every day this week and spent all my free time relaxing and decompressing. My whole body is so tired. Any words of comfort and/or advice?

You’re not alone! I can’t even sit outside for more than an hour without suffering the consequences. If I don’t take Benadryl before bed I wake up throwing up every single night. It’s so exhausting to explain to people why I can’t be outside when they don’t listen and just yell BUT ITS GOOD FOR YOU hey no it’s not!!!!!!

I'm right there with you. I can't live without taking Zyrtec every day. Sometimes ibuprofen helps calm down the swelling and a good long steamy shower. I also find sometimes salty foods and pickles help me feel better and tons of water. Know you aren't alone. I've wished for many years I could enjoy my day like everyone else and just go outside without worry.
