Living with Disabilities and Mental Illnesses: My Story

hi, my name is felix and I'm a 19 year old from the USA. I live with many mental and physical illnesses and disorders and i usually cope pretty well, but covid-19 has really made things hard for me as I'm sure many of you can understand. I've also had a hard time learning what it is to be an adult and I'm having to come to terms with the fact that I'm disabled and will be for the rest of my life. I'm not legally disabled meaning i dont receive any benefits or financial aid but I'm working on it. I had to drop out of high school due to my illnesses and move out of my mom's house because of abuse, but our relationship has gotten much better since then. I've also become an ambulatory cane and wheelchair user and its changed my life for the better. I live with my boyfriend who is not disabled but does have mental illnesses as well, which is a blessing and a curse. he's helped me so much through my journey and we've grown a lot together.
