Living with Chronic Pain: My Struggle and Isolation

Hi, I've had chronic pain since I was 12 in 2012. I have been on a combination of Ibuprofen 800mgs and Hydrocodone 10. I wish it helped get rid of *all* of my pain, but that hasn't been the case.. I even had surgery to solve my pain and I have been in more pain than usual lately.. Now I'm in 8-9 out of 10 pains and wishing I could up my dosage of Hydro since the pain is just too overbearing, but my doctor legally can't. I can't go to school, work, or have any basic exercise or social life. I'm very unhealthy and wish the pain could get easier so I could just officially start my life. I'm even the youngest person in the pain clinic I go to by a landslide (21 currently), and it's not reassuring at all for my situation. I'm very depressed due to my day-to-day issues revolving around chronic pain. I realize I'm a very problem-heavy person, so if I'm not what you need now, I perfectly understand. You should put yourself first if needed. ❤️ Tho, if you happen to relate to what I'm saying, *please* HMU. Meeting people my age with my same issues is an extremely rare thing for me. Also I apologize if I respond late, my depression oftentimes prevents me from socializing as much as I'd like and I'll get to you ASAP once I'm done with an emotional episode or 2 haha.. Hope you have a great day!

And PS Star - are you positive about the source of your pain. I was at first told mine was normal aging (I know you are young) but in actuality there was a tiny little cancer causing the pain. Once that was shrunken through chemo, everything got better.

Hey I don't really have any of the conditions you have but I just wanted to give you some motivation 🥰

Hi! My pain came much later in life so not sure how I would have dealt at your age. My experience with pain meds is that nothing gets rid of all of it. Have you ever gone to a pain clinic? Before my cancer diagnosis I did and found them very sympathetic and seriously trying to help.
