Living with Chronic Pain: My Story

2017 I sustained a work injury causing me to brake my right ankle, ruptured tendons, permanent nerve damage. A 5 month delay in authorization for the very first surgery left me with CRPS Type 2 in my right foot and leg and even more extensive nerve damage compounded by orthopedic damage. Fast forward, I now have a SCS implanted as well as DRG implant to help reduce the pain in my right leg. 8 surgeries! I have been in a state of constant flare and nothing is alleviating or diminishing the pain at all!! Living in the Midwest and our recent 30°F temperatures, my leg is feeling like it is being skinned with a flaming knife! My leg is constantly cramping and spasming making walking, standing, sitting, laying down almost impossible. I sleep less than 2 hours a night.
