Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder: My Story

Hey my name is Joseph and I was recently diagnosed with (ASD). I always knew I was weird, but I didn’t understand why. I started doing some research and I found autism spectrum disorder and I told my parents I feel like an alien when I think I’m autistic on the spectrum. They didn’t believe me only finally got help because I kept punching things I was out of control just couldn’t take anything. It took 18 years to figure out I was on the spectrum, but I’m not going to let it define me it’s a disorder I can’t change it, but I can change how I look at this negative or positive. I say both because I’m spiritual and I’ve always have been my mind just loves to wonder and I go through spiritual warfare because all those lofty thoughts. I’m a Christian, but I’m not religious I think religion is a cult. My obsession is talking about God and I love nature. I would love to talk to you guys when we’re you diagnosed and what are your obsessions. I feel like my mind is always against me I’m locked in this negative mind and I have to speak positive and I do

I do I go to therapy until I can get into an autism little group to help me. I hate therapy they better not try to change me because they can’t all I need is encouragement. My mind is negative sometimes I wish I had a gun so I could let my thoughts and mind be free finally, but I’ll never kill myself even though I hate life, I love helping other’s. My real mother is schizophrenic and she did drugs while she had me. Real dad was in jail I’ve never seen them every-time I try to go to those memories it’s foggy.
