Living with ARFID: Struggling to Find Help

Hi everyone, I suffer from an eating disorder called ARFID and it’s severely trauma based. It’s very hard to find help because a lot of people don’t know what it is. Treatment centers can help but some don’t understand. I’m scared everyday for my health. The treatment I was in for my ED helped me, but I sadly relapsed and the trauma is very much there and I’m becoming malnourished again. I just hope I don’t end up in the icu again :(

Have you considered going back to treatment? I relapsed in my ED and went back. There is no shame. It is the best choice I made. I spent 6 no. In treatment and now have been in recovery for a year. While I was there a young man had AFRID. I went to alsana they worked with him and he graduated the program successfully. Please consider. I know what it’s like to be hospitalized.
