Struggling with Light Sensitivity

Does anyone have sensitivity to light? If a room is too bright or dark? My least favorite light that makes me over stimulated are the LED lights that change colors. Some of my friends only use those as lights and it’s literally the worst

Sounds like sensory issues! They’re often associated with autism, but studies have shows about 40% of ADHDers also have them. I have sensory issues to the point that it’s mildly disabling. My worst are sounds and light. Being overstimulated by a different sense, stressed, upset, anxious makes all my sensory issues worse. When this happens it’s called “sensory overload” if the overload keeps progressing it can lead to a shut down or meltdown. I find it’s best to just try to limit exposure. It’s also possible it’s not sensory issues and within the normal range (especially if you have blue eyes) or another related specific sensory sensitivity condition. I would recommend looking for into it!
