personally I’ve been without antidepressants for a few years. I can’t say my experience will be the same as anyone else’s. Overall my depression isn’t really gone, but my symptoms have greatly improved. It feels almost the same way as it feels to heal from a flu - when I’m feeling symptoms, it greatly impacts my mood and daily life, but without symptoms I am better able to function and appreciate the ability to do so. enough time may pass that i won’t really think about it much anymore, but I can still recall feeling broken and unable to even leave my bed in the past. There’s no knowing what happens with mental illnesses like depression but I hope you are doing good on your journey. My doctor told me at 16 I’d probably be on antidepressants my whole life, yet recently I learned how to deal with my symptoms without medication. It is not impossible that your life could get better, and I am here to listen if you ever need a lending ear.
