I started 10mg of Lexapro 4 days ago, today will be my 5th dose. I felt fine the first two days, but yesterday and today have been tough. My anxiety is worse than before I started taking it, to the point where I’m shaking constantly and dry heaving. I read that the first few weeks you may feel worse in terms of anxiety and then when your body gets used to it, it’ll actually start to help with the anxiety and you’ll feel better than before. Has anyone else experienced this? When did it start to get better? How did you deal with it?

Im not on Lexapro, i’m on sertraline but I was the same exact way! You kind of just have to ride out the wave until your body adjusts but after you’ll start feeling better!!

Hang in there. I had similar problems until I leveled out.

Absolutely, I love my Lexapro but it takes an absolute toll those first few weeks. Made me incredibly anxious and shaky and jumpy and sweaty and it was awful, but after it passed the medication works wonders. Hang in there! 💕
