Lexapro and Hydroxyzine for Anxiety and Depression

Has anyone ever taken Lexapro for anxiety and depression? Dr is putting me on it today. Also has anyone else had hydroxyzine for sleep? Is it effective?

i haven't been on Lexapro, but I did take hydroxyzine for sleep, but it didn't work well for me and made me depressed to the point where I had to go to a crisis unit. BUT I've also had friends where it helped them for sleep and they didn't have side effects
